The Black Speakers Bureau: Amplifying Black Voices on Every Stage

In a world where representation matters more than ever, the Black Speakers Bureau is stepping forward to ensure that Black voices are amplified, recognized, and valued. As a platform dedicated to securing opportunities for thought leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, and creatives, the Bureau is creating real opportunities for Black professionals to take their place on stages across industries.

On Sunday, March 30th, the Black Speakers Bureau will host a soft launch at Black Business Enterprises Headquarters in Minnesota. This event will not only introduce the Bureau to the public but also provide a space for networking, learning, and on-the-spot opportunities to join the platform. Attendees can look forward to a brunch, fireside chats, and special guest appearances, all centered around empowering Black speakers and ensuring their voices are heard on national and global stages.

A Mission Rooted in Impact

The Black Speakers Bureau was created in response to the lack of diversity on speaker lineups across industries. Despite the wealth of knowledge and expertise within the Black community, Black professionals are often underrepresented on stages where important conversations take place. The Bureau is working to change that by connecting dynamic speakers with event organizers, corporations, and media outlets that are seeking powerful, authentic voices.

A Celebration of Leadership and Purpose

The Black Speakers Bureau is led by Teona Washington, Keyla Marte, and Tephanie Delaney. These women are committed to making sure Black speakers have a platform to share their knowledge and experience with audiences who need to hear them.

This launch is even more special because it’s also a celebration of leadership and purpose. Teona Washington’s birthday is on March 19th, and Tephanie Delaney’s birthday is on March 25th. With both birthdays falling in March, what better way to celebrate than by launching a movement that will open doors for Black voices to be heard?

“At a time when Black voices are being silenced, we, Black Speakers Bureau, stand as a powerful amplifier, ensuring our stories are heard, valued, and honored,” says Teona Washington. “Our narratives shape culture, drive change, and inspire generations—but only if we are the ones to tell them. Now, more than ever, we must take the mic and own our voices, because the world is listening.”

An Invitation to Join the Movement

The soft launch event on Sunday, March 30th is an opportunity for both seasoned and aspiring speakers to connect with like-minded individuals, gain insight into the Black Speakers Bureau’s mission, and explore opportunities to join the platform. Whether you’re an entrepreneur looking to share your expertise, an educator with valuable insights, a creative ready to take center stage, or an event organizer looking to hire dynamic Black speakers, this event is the place to learn more and get involved.
