Cultural Kare Magazine is Turning One! We’re Celebrating by Honoring You! Introducing the Kare 4 The Culture Awards

Cultural Kare Magazine’s first anniversary

In celebration of Cultural Kare Magazine’s first anniversary, we are thrilled to announce the launch of the Kare 4 Culture Awards Contest. Throughout the month of October, we will honor outstanding individuals who are preserving, promoting, and advancing cultural heritage within their communities. With a total of four awards, we aim to recognize the vital role culture bearers play in shaping the future while keeping traditions and values alive.

What Is a Culture Bearer?

A culture bearer is someone who is actively moving the culture forward or advancing it in meaningful ways. Whether through art, storytelling, business, leadership, heritage, values, or cultural traditions, culture bearers play a crucial role in ensuring that cultural knowledge and practices are preserved and passed down to future generations. These individuals not only celebrate and maintain their heritage but also bring it forward in ways that create lasting social impact.

The $500 Kare 4 Culture Awards:

Each week in October, one deserving culture bearer will be awarded $500 in one of four categories:

• Social Impact Award – For culture bearers who co-create and organize within their communities to foster meaningful social change.
• Leadership Award – For individuals who prioritize leadership in their cultural work, guiding others and creating opportunities to elevate cultural practices and values.
• Creative Award – For those using their artistic talents to express and preserve cultural heritage through mediums such as art, music, design, or performance.
• Cultural Business Innovator Award – For culture bearers who have established businesses that promote cultural heritage while creating economic opportunities for their communities.

These grants are designed to empower culture bearers by providing financial support to further their work and enhance their impact.

How to Enter:

We are calling on all culture bearers to APPLY! To be considered for an award, participants must complete a simple registration form, sharing information about their cultural work and how they are making an impact. The application process includes detailing their role as a culture bearer, their community involvement, and their specific achievements within the award category they are applying for.

These awards are our way of giving back to those who give so much to their communities.
